Understanding Automation Triggers
Learn about all available triggers and when to use each one for maximum impact.
LEAD_IMPORTED: Triggers immediately when you import contacts from CSV. Perfect for welcome sequences and initial outreach.
STAGE_CHANGE: Fires when a contact moves to a specific pipeline stage. Select the target stage (e.g., "Needs Analysis" or "Quote Sent") to trigger stage-specific follow-ups.
POLICY_STATUS_CHANGE: Activates when policy status changes (e.g., Active, Pending, Lapsed). Great for renewal reminders and policy milestone communications.
BOOKING_COMPLETED: Triggers after a prospect completes a booking with you. Use for meeting confirmations, pre-meeting prep materials, and follow-up sequences.
BOOKING_NO_SHOW: Fires when someone misses their scheduled appointment. Perfect for automated reschedule requests.
Each automation can only have one trigger, but you can create multiple automations with the same trigger for different stages or conditions.
