Understanding Automation Logs & Analytics

Track automation performance, troubleshoot failures, and optimize your sequences.

1

Navigate to Dashboard > Automations and click any automation to view its logs.

2

Automation Analytics shows: Total steps executed, Sent, Skipped, and Failed counts.

3

Each log entry shows: Contact name, Step number, Status (sent/skipped/failed), Timestamp, and Error reason.

4

Common skip reasons: "Contact marked doNotContact", "SMS guard: No consent", "Contact has no phone number", "Contact moved from stage."

5

For Stage Change automations: If contact moves out of the trigger stage before a step executes, remaining steps are cancelled.

6

Failed steps show error messages like "Invalid phone number" or "Email bounce" for troubleshooting.

7

Use filters to view only failed or skipped steps to identify patterns and optimize your workflow.

8

Pro Tip: Check logs weekly to spot contacts lacking phone/email and update their records to improve reach.
